WINDOW FILM ACTUALLY SAVES ME MONEY?
Window film, whether commercial or residential, definitely saves you money - that's what it's designed to do. Window film's ability to reject heat is powerful. One of the first things you will notice after installation is the temperature difference near the windows. But once you get that first power bill back and see the difference on paper - that's when it hits home.

FILM?
3M is the world leader in the core window film technologies: thin film coating, adhesives, nano-technology, and abrasion resistance. 3M not only manufactures all their own coatings, they are the only manufacturer that produces their own polyester. They also happen to be the inventors of window film. 3M Window Films are simply the best money can buy.
HOW ARE WINDOW FILMS INSTALLED?
Most window films are installed with a soap and water solution to allow the film to be slid along the glass to the proper position. A squeegee is then used to push the water out from underneath the film, and allow the adhesive to stick to the glass. All glass is cleaned with a fresh razor blade (that will not scratch the window) before the application of the window film.
DO WINDOW FILMS REDUCE CARBON EMMISSIONS?
Window films have the ability to greatly reduce carbon footprints. Reducing the heat that comes through windows takes a huge load off of your HVAC system. The lowered output of the HVAC system reduces the carbon footprint excreted by the unit. This will also extend the life of your unit - another way to save money that is often overlooked.
HOW DO WINDOW FILMS COMPARE TO SOLAR PANELS?
Window films, while much less expensive, provide a much faster complete return on investment. Solar panel installation pays for itself in 8-10 years, typically, while commercial or residential window films pay for themselves in closer to 3 years (if every window is tinted). As you can imagine, installation is much easier, as well.
WHY DOESN'T EVERYONE HAVE WINDOW FILM?
Great question! Everyone should have window film on their windows. Truly. It saves you money and keeps you more comfortable. What more could you want? Truth be told, window film is still somewhat of a hidden gem. Not everyone knows about it, and those who do are often not very familiar with all of window film's many capabilities. So when you get yours installed, be sure to tell a friend!
WHAT ABOUT LOW-E GLASS?
Window film provides you with virtually the same performance as low-e glass, for a much lower price. Window film is also much easier to install - replacing glass can be quite the task. For simplicity and savings, make the smart choice and choose window film.
WHAT ABOUT WARRANTIES?
All 3M films come with a standard warranty of 15 years for commercial application and a lifetime warranty for residential application. There is no cost for this warranty - if a 3M dealer installs your film you get the warranty.
HOW LONG HAS FILM TEK BEEN AROUND?

CAN THE FILM BE REMOVED?
Window film can be removed. Sometimes this process comes easily - sometimes it does not. The ease of removal depends on the glue holding the film to the glass. Older films can be tricky sometimes, but so can newer films. You just never know. We always recommend having a professional remove your film to avoid damaging the glass in any way.
CAN VINYL WRAPS BE REMOVED?
Vinyl Wraps can also be removed from your cars after installation. This is what makes them so great. You get the amazing aesthetics but you also preserve your original paint job. If you want to resell your car in the next few years (wraps are under warranty for 5), you can have the wrap removed and have a pristine paint job to add quite a bit to your resell value.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY WINDOWS?
Clean your windows the same way you did before you had your film installed! 3M films are the only films on the market that are safe to use ammonia on - any other film you must be extra careful not to clean with any products containing ammonia. This is not the case for 3M - you can clean with anything you like. Just one more reason why they are the best in the business!
